FUN KIDS’ BACKPACK ROUNDUP
I was just introduced to a new back-to-school accessory: the Randoseru backpack. Apparently it is the iconic backpack for Japanese children headed off to school. It doesn’t look like these kids are messing around. I think this backpack could hold half the contents of my file cabinet, and in such classic style. I’d just love to send my daughter off with one of these, but it is the investment you’d expect for a true piece of luggage (also available on Amazon).
And here are a few other fantastic names in kids’ backpacks.
1: Dante Beatrix
2: Littlelife
3: Four Peas
4: Dwell Studio
5: Room It Up
6: Allerhand
7: Hanna Andersson
8: Marimekko
9: Agatha Ruiz
10: Pooki & Co.
11: Dabbawalla
UPDATE 09.10.09: Don’t miss the Fleurville lunchpacks. Also, I’m tempted by this tutorial from Roots and Wings for customizing the straps and back of an old backpack. What a great idea. And finally check out this free pattern from Madebyrae.

Oh my! Those are adorable! Now as soon as the wee lad grows a tad more I will have a good excuse to purchase!

Thanks so much for linking my backpack post!
I am honored that you are tempted by my tutorial even with all those great looking backpacks to choose from.
It seems to me that so many of the fun backpacks aren’t exactly made to last. Backpacks that are made to last aren’t always fashion forward. ;)
