As a child, little could thrill me more than a really great hideaway. A place all my own where I could play with friends or go be alone. Don’t some of these bring back that thrill?

We had a closet under our stairs growing up. Hour after hour, day after day was spent in that claustophobic space with my little sister and cousins. I loved it. When I have kids, I’ll be sure to give them a little space of their own, even if they aren’t as pretty as these options.

What a great round up of forts, secret places and hide-a-aways. My smile grew bigger and bigger as I scrolled through all the photos. :) Thanks! Puts the sheets and blankets I used to drape over the corral of dining room chairs to shame!
